The results of the 2022 "Fortune 500 Turkey" study - the annual list of the largest 500 companies in Turkey prepared jointly by CRIF Turkey and Fortune Turkey since 2007 - have been announced.

According to the 2022 Fortune 500 Turkey list, the net sales of companies in 2022 increased by 148.7% compared to the previous year and reached TL 8 trillion.

Fortune 500 companies in Turkey achieved a record increase in terms of net sales, exports and net profits in 2022 since the research was first conducted in 2007.

The exports of Turkish companies in 2022 increased by 137.9% compared to the previous year and exceeded TL 2.1 trillion, while net profit increased by 245.5%, exceeding TL 545.1 billion.

This year, the revenue threshold for making the Fortune 500 list was TL 2.2 billion.

 

At the top of the 2022 Fortune 500 Turkey list was Enerji Piyasaları İşletme Anonim Şirketi (EPİAŞ), last year’s top ranked company. In 2022, EPİAŞ increased its net sales by 378.5% compared to the previous year to around TL 800 billion to come first in the 2022 Fortune 500 Turkey ranking.

Türkiye Petrol Rafinerleri A.Ş. (TUPRAS), which has been close to the top of the Fortune 500 Turkey ranking for many years, increased its net sales by 215.9% in 2022 compared to the previous year, reaching around TL 482 billion. This put TÜPRAŞ took in second place on the 2022 Fortune 500 Turkey list.

Turkish Airlines (THY), rose in the rankings once again due to its high growth performance. Increasing its net sales by 219.5% in 2022 compared to the previous year, THY took third place on the 2022 Fortune 500 Turkey list with net sales of around TL 311 billion.
