TransUnion CRIF Decision Solutions LLC is supplying the newly born Russian organization with specialized credit bureau technologies and its operational and managerial expertise. The company is a joint venture between TransUnion and CRIF, continental Europe's leading market player in the credit reporting and decision support systems segment. Together, TransUnion and CRIF are the largest owners or operators of credit bureaus worldwide.

"As the recognized world leader in the operations of credit bureaus, we are pleased to be a partner and an integral player in helping NBCH reach its goals," said TransUnion's Larry Howell, president, Europe and Asia. "As Russia continues to build a global economy for the benefit of both its businesses and citizens, TransUnion CRIF stands ready to provide the strong technical foundation and experience to effectively manage the growth."

"We are absolutely proud to put the first brick in this wall, contributing proactively to the credit market in Russia and providing first class products and services. NBCH will contribute to the improvement and growth of credit risk management culture, benefiting both lenders and consumers," said CRIF's Fabrizio Fraboni, director, international division.
September marks the first month in Russia's history that lenders could access credit information and reports. The technical infrastructure and data management expertise was in place on September 1 when the bureau started receiving and managing credit information from its partners. It is through its partners' network that the NBCH will service lenders across the country's 89 regions. The bureau has signed agreements for service with more than 230 banks, with another 400 agreements expected to be signed shortly.
