Salzburg, March 14-15, 2018

The 16th Fraud Conference of the Working Group for Technical Coordination for Public Communication Networks and Services (AK-TK) was successfully held at the Austria Trend Hotel Salzburg West from March 14 to 15, 2018.

The conference brought together experts from telcos and criminal investigation departments, who illustrated how networking had already brought several practical benefits, not only to the companies concerned, but also to police investigations.

The speakers also highlighted how online stores are repeatedly victims of numerous types of fraud. There were 73 attendees at the event, who followed specialist lectures and the podium discussion with interest.

Boris Recsey, CRIF GMBH Managing Director, described how the CRIF Fraud Prevention Kit allows companies to detect online fraud in advance. In fact, CRIF’s solution makes it possible to check and analyze orders in real-time, based on selected criteria extrapolated from known fraud patterns. Among others, T-Mobile Austria showed how successful the application of the CRIF Fraud Prevention Kit had been to their processes, producing impressive practical benefits.
