Sberbank: The setting up of a direct bank in Germany

NEEDS: With the setting up of a direct bank in Germany, an intelligent solution was sought for granting digital and mobile loans, and setting up lean and cost-efficient processes.
SOLUTIONS: CRIF Solution Platform and StrategyOne were used to define risk parameters, decision-making rules for risk assessment, and lean processes for rapid lending.
RESULTS: The project between Sberbank and CRIF is under continuous development: the integration of account data, expanded offerings and greater risk differentiation are planned.
Sberbank has had a branch in Frankfurt am Main since 2014. Sberbank Europe has over 4,000 employees in 190 branches in eight European markets.
"When setting up Sberbank in Germany, we started from scratch, so to speak, which meant that no usable data were available at the start of the project. Our basic goals for the start-up in Germany were mobility and lean processes, as well as cost optimization for the implementation process. We also wanted an intelligent solution that would enable dynamic reaction," explained Dietmar Nussböck, Senior Retail Credit Risk Manager, Sberbank Europe AG.
CRIF, in close partnership with Sberbank, has developed an exclusively electronic technical lending solution for the German market.
