Balance sheet acquisition
CRIF provides an outsourcing service for the acquisition of balance sheets for sole traders, partnerships and joint-stock companies.

Regardless of the form of the balance sheets, CRIF can process them and deliver a numerical file to the financial institution related to each document. This numerical balance sheet is the product of data extraction from the normalized, classified and (if necessary) reclassified balance sheet (from copies of the original balance sheets) and insertion into a chart of accounts.

The outsourcing process, which is scalable and designed together with the customer, comprises the following principal phases:

  1. Balance sheet acquisition in pdf or paper format
  2. Conversion of original balance sheets to numerical balance sheets
  3. Reclassification according to the personalized layout of the financial institution
  4. Balance sheets produced in XML format and fed electronically to the financial institution’s data bank

To carry out this activity of balance sheet acquisition, CRIF has created a research and development unit specifically for Business Information, CRIF Lab, which is a competence center that has moved away from traditional data processing methods.

CRIF Lab draws from a group with over 15 years experience in text mining with skills ranging from automatic data extraction from structured and unstructured sources, to the application of XBRL standard formatting for financial reporting.

Thanks to the technology used by CRIF Lab, the management and analysis of financial data is industrialized, quick and accurate
