Information from courts and land registries
What is this?

This is public information made available by courts and land registries to all interested parties; it regards the value of properties owned by private individuals and corporations, and allows assessment of any insolvency situations. Here are a few examples of this kind of information: institution of legal proceedings, court-ordered mortgage, legal mortgage,  property attachment, bankruptcy ruling, seizure.

How is this different from the information in CRIF's credit reporting system?

Unlike the data contained in CRIF's credit reporting system, information from courts and land registries is data from public sources, and can therefore be accessed by anyone. Instead, EURISC is a credit information system based on its subscribers' voluntary contribution of information about loans that have been requested, obtained, or refused, and is only accessible to these member institutions, who are not allowed to circulate information thus obtained to other parties.

How can I check whether there is information from courts and land registries regarding me?

You can fax a written request +39 051 6458940, following the instructions provided here. Section 4 of the form for accessing data is specifically dedicated to information from courts and land registries.

How can I have this data erased?

You can directly contact your local land registry office, presenting documentation proving your right to have this information erased, and requesting that the cancellation of this entry be registered. For more information, visit the website www.agenziaterritorio.it
